On Wednesday, January 23, 2008 the Lord whispered softly and welcomed home Renford P. Brown.

Renford P. Brown was born November 5, 1937 in St. Catherine Bog Walk, Jamaica to Georgia Rowe and Vernon George Brown.

Well over 37 years ago, he became a member of Greater Mount Olive Baptist Church where he was a dedicated member and served as an usher.

Renford worked as a construction foreman for Centex Rooney/Balfour Beatty Construction for over 25 years.

In his pass times, he enjoyed all types of music.

In 1977 Renford P. Brown united in Holy Matrimony to Gloria J. Johnson.

He leaves behind to cherish his loving memories: his wife Gloria Brown, daughters Renata P. Brown of Deerfield, Victoria Glasco of Ft. Lauderdale, sons, Ralston P. Brown of Ft. Lauderdale, Keith Brown of Jamaica, Darin Johnson of Deerfield, Byron Williams preceeded him in death. And a host of many other sorrowing family and friends.

On February 2, 2008, several of our fellow brothers and sisters traveled from all over the state of Florida to Delray Beach and send their Grand Master Home. Bro. Brown has served the International F.&A.M. Masons and the Order of the Eastern Star for over 30 years and proved to be a great leader. His presence will be sorely missed.

It was beautiful to see hundreds of members of the Masonic family attend Bro. Brown's funeral service. The members of Marium #599 who came out to show their support were truly happy to be in attendance.
